Two more photos of the children. I have a few!!!!
Thanks again for your messages. It is really good to hear from you all.
Liverpool might have been disappointed to have a draw Dave, but Hull would have been very happy I'm sure!!!
A lovely amount of rain has fallen in Melbourne. I hope it's falling in the right places.
My day in school today was delightful. We are taking lots of photos of staff and students. It is going to be tough on Thursday when I walk out of the school grounds for the last time. Everyone has been so kind. The kids are great, and I feel I have achieved some of the things that I have tried to teach. It's all very basic, but they are so young- the best time to learn.
The new Volunteers are settling in. They will go out to their placements for the first time tomorrow. I am sure they are just as nervous as we were on our first day.
This afternoon we are all going into Trang, and then off for a meal at a local restaurant. We 3 girls are doing a repeat of our first week. It feels as if we are the locals.

It sounds like you are getting around Thailand like a local - the bus ride back to Trang could have been an experience in itself. How are you going bartering with the locals?
Reading your blog it seems you have packed a fair bit in to your trip. You must have got a real insight into Thai life. The last few days will fly - see you soon.
Lots of love Pomegranet and Rhubarb.
Have not got to the computer for a few days and have just had to catch up with your adventures of the last week. As Stretch and Joelle say, you sound like you are getting around like a local in spite of the language barrier. Am particularly jealous of the beach-going and swimming in warm waters.
We had our Christmas this weekend, with Turkey and Chrismas Pudding, mince pies and a gingerbread house - and Father Christmas still managed to get presents to the boys in spite of the date. I think the boys favourite presents were the hobby horses that Santa gave them (David says that they can now play Cowboys and Indians) and the beanbags that you and Grandad gave them. The boys probably receieved more books last weekend than you have available in your school. I think we need another bookshelf.
It sounds as though you are starting to see the rewards of your efforts with the the kids. I bet you half wish you could stay longer. I think that they have been lucky to have a volunteer with teaching experience and a love of kids and I am sure that they will miss you.
Have a safe trip home and we will see you in January.

Kerry Am doing this for the 2nd time - not very confident with this blogger thing, so hope it works! What a wonderful time you're having - it must be difficult to believe your adventure is nearly over. The photo of the children in school reminded me of our time in Bali - such beautiful people!
Col came for dinner last week and told us some of his experiences on the Bike Ride - I suspect you'll be a participant next year!
We look forward to seeing you soon- safe trip home (thank goodness the trouble at the airport has died down) and love, from Mees & Rob
